Zagreb – Clark Baim workshop – Using attachment theory in psychotherapy

11.11. - 13.11.2011

This workshop will be an exploration of contemporary attachment theory through psychodramas and processing. We will consider how attachment theory can inform the purposeful adaptation of psychotherapy techniques to provide maximum benefit and avoid worsening the client’s/patient’s problems. We will draw on the work of Dr. Patricia Crittenden, whose Dynamic-Maturational Model of attachment across the lifespan specifically incorporates the attachment strategies common among people who have experienced maltreatment and life-threatening endangerment.
